Gratitude and reverence to Lord Patanjali, whose wisdom gave us the path of Yoga, and to our Yogacharya BKS Iyengar Guruji, whose dedication to yoga gave us a way to look within and understand ourselves. “The gift of breath is the gift of life. When we receive a gift, we feel gratitude.”

At the age of 8, she became seriously ill and was not expected to survive. Seeing the medicines weren’t helping, her father decided to try yoga with her. She recovered and continued with her practice of yoga.
